SOAR Rules
..No pun intended, even though it DOES rule!
Registration & Entries:

Registration opens August 13th @ 10AM (all entries on the 13th will receive a Free Soar T-Shirt & the 1st 10 entries will also receive a Black Soar Sweater)

Early Birds -- All August Registrations get a 10% registration!

Late entries are accepted up to 30 days before the event, with a $25 late fee per entry.

Entries will receive a competition schedule approximately 2 weeks before the event.

Studio owners may email us to request group pricing.

Any music that has not been provided one week prior will incur a $25 late fee.
Performer Expectations

All routines must be 100% appropriate — music, costume, and choreography must be family-friendly.
Inappropriate or immodest routines may receive a 10-point deduction or be disqualified (no refund).

Routines must be performed in the scheduled order on their assigned day. Only SOAR staff may adjust order due to costume or music conflicts.

Performers must be ready to go on stage 1 hour early. Failure to be ready may result in a 10-point deduction.

All routines must begin and end on the floor; failing to do so will result in a 10-point deduction.

No coaching or instructing from the wings or audience; doing so may lead to point deductions or disqualification.

SOAR reserves the right to request proof of age for any performer. Documentation must be provided within 1 hour if asked.

No use of live props, such as animals or people during a routine. No dangerous or destructive props such as fire, water, knives, guns, swords, glitter, confetti, paint, etc.

Props may be used in all categories. Please limit all set and removal of props to 15 seconds.
Dressing Rooms

Dressing rooms will be assigned when possible. We appreciate your flexibility at busy venues!
Observer Bands
-
All friends, family, and guests must purchase a $10 Observer Band to attend the event.

Coaches do not need an observer band.
