Introducing SOAR’s Virtual Stage, our brand-new virtual competition designed for aerialists who want to experience the life changing excitement of a live competition — without the cost of traveling.

What is the SOAR Virtual Stage?

 

SOAR Virtual Stage lets aerialists experience all the magic of an in-person competition — without leaving their home or studio.

Perform live over Zoom for our three official judges and receive personalized, face-to-face feedback right after your routine.

Each competitor signs up for a 10-minute slot:

• 3–4 minutes to perform your routine

• ~3 minutes for live feedback (about 1 minute per judge)

• Optional quick Q&A with judges before signing off

After your performance, you’ll still receive your official SOAR scorecard with detailed scores in each category, from each judge — just like in-person competitors.

How It Works

 

Experience the only aerial competition where you can perform live, connect personally with judges, and grow through LIVE feedback — all without leaving your studio.

1. Select Your Event – choose which SOAR competition you’d like to compete in virtually: SOAR PA (or) SOAR NC.

2. Reserve Your Slot – each competitor receives a 10-minute time block on the Virtual Stage.

3. Join the Zoom Call Live – Perform your routine in real time for our judging panel, you’ll be competing in front of the same set of judges as the LIVE competition so you will be in the running for all the same awards!

4. Receive Immediate Feedback – Each judge shares their thoughts and encouragement directly with you, and allows for you to briefly ask any questions about their feedback. 

5. Celebrate Your Results – Afterwards, you’ll get your digital scorecard and are invited to virtually attend the awards ceremony, to find out how you placed, just like our in-person competitors!

How our Virtual Competition Differs from other Competitions?

​

1. Live Judges Only – No pre-recorded videos or blind scoring. You perform in real time, and interact with live judges!

2. Personalized Experience – Hear direct feedback and see your judges face-to-face.

3. Official Scoring – Same rubric and standards as our in-person events.

4. Awards & Placements – Virtual Stage competitors scores will be ranked against the live competitors scores. They will be eligible for all the same trophies, medals, and special awards that are mailed after results are announced.

No Travel Needed – Join from anywhere in the world and still feel the SOAR energy.

Virtual Stage Dates:

• Sunday, January 18 – Compete virtually in SOAR’s PA Competition

• Sunday, February 15 – Compete virtually in SOAR’s NC Competition

Registration Opens: Friday, November 8 @ 10 AM (EST) (Spots are limited — once all the slots fill, registration closes for that event)

Technical Requirements

 

To keep your Virtual Stage experience smooth and professional:

• Stable internet connection

• Free Zoom account (you’ll receive a private link after registration)

• Camera angle showing your full apparatus and movements

• Bright lighting and safe, studio-ready rigging

Awards & Recognition

 

All Virtual Stage scores and placements are included in the same results as our live competitors.

• You’ll appear in the official SOAR results and program.

• Medals and trophies for Virtual winners will be shipped to you.

• You’re invited to join the live awards ceremony virtually to celebrate with everyone on stage!
